Leaving our mark on the Midwest
The Midwest region of the United States is a 12-state region with 11 MSAs that have more than 1 million people. In all, it is home to 67 million residents and 131 Fortune 500 companies. The region’s population hub, Chicago, houses the largest freight rail hub in North America, while several other key Midwest markets utilize the highway infrastructure to reach 50% of the U.S. population within a one-day drive. These factors drive demand for quality and well-located industrial real estate throughout the Midwest. GLP’s strategic investment in the region consists of 130 properties totaling 25.0 million square feet across 5 key markets, including class A bulk distribution buildings as well as rail-served assets in critical infill locations.
